Silver Bay V.A. Home Visit, 16 Jan.2010

We had quite an eventful day visiting with our Veteran Hero's in Silver Bay Saturday 16 Jan. 2010! We had 5 PGR member's from Hibbing Sector and 6 PGR Member's from Duluth Sector and met a PGR Member from Brainerd with his Mother and Daughter. We Enjoyed Good Fellowship over lunch with Brainerd Member Jim Parent and were introduced to his Mother and Daughter and also introduced ourselves to 2 " First Time " Member's from Duluth! We "Welcome" Duluth Member's Mike and Rose, Brainerd Member Jim Parent, Daughter Karen and " Mom" ! After a Great meal we proceeded to the V.A. Home and began visiting with our resident veteran's. A Staff member asked us to pay our respects and perform a escort to a former resident which we were Honored to accept. We assembled two lines and escorted this "Hero" outside where we rendered a Final Salute to show this Great individual the" HONOR","DIGNITY" and" RESPECT " he deserved ! After this Somber moment we continued with our visit's and served Coffee and Cookies to the Residents and Hosted a "Bingo" game where EVERY Resident playing won at least one bingo. We "Thank" all the members who give of their time to make these visits so Memorable for the Resident Veteran Hero's and Staff !
