Ricardo "Rick" Harvey, 47, Detroit Lakes, 13 AUG 07



Ricardo "Rick" Harvey, 47, Detroit Lakes, MN died Wednesday, August 8, 2007 in Watertown, SD, due to injuries in a motorcycle accident. Rick was born on July 17, 1960 in Antigo, Wisconsin to Richard and Nathalie Gee Harvey. He grew up and attended school in Antigo. They later moved to Fargo, North Dakota, where Rick finished his education, graduating from Fargo North High School in 1978. On December 16, 1978 he was married to Susan Wigdahl in Fargo. They made their home in Fargo, where Rick worked as a welder for O'Day Tank and Equipment. He later worked for Mid America Steel in Fargo. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in October of 1982. He was stationed at the McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma, Washington, where he served in Security Police and Air Base Ground Defense. In 1988 they moved back to Fargo where he worked for Gateway Chevrolet in sales and later as business manager. In 1998 he started working for Nereson's in Detroit Lakes where he was currently employed as business manager.

Rick loved the outdoors, music, and his motorcycle. He also loved being around people and was a very devoted family man. Rick was also a proud member of the Patriot Guard.

Rick is survived by his wife, Susan Harvey, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; two daughters, Melissa Harvey, Twin Valley, Minnesota;Christina Harvey, Fargo, North Dakota; parents, Richard and Nathalie Harvey, Antigo, Wisconsin; two brothers, Richard "DeeJay" (Tina) Harvey, Soldotna, Alaska; Harold (Jodie) Harvey, Menasha, Wisconsin; two sisters, Cheri Pontefract, Antigo, Wisconsin; Jackee (Rich) Troemel, White Lake, Wisconsin; many nieces and nephews.
