As a parent of a nineteen year soldier who left with the 353rd Transportation Unit today, I want to thank you and the Patriot Guard. The Patriot Guard was present at both the Appreciation Ceremony yesterday and when they boarded the busses to leave today. Our son knew a little about the Patriot Guard, but as a nineteen year I believe he was a little naive. After the Patriot Guard's appearance yesterday at the Appreciation Ceremony, I believe he really learned what the Patriot Guard is all about. Just by talking to him you could tell how much it meant to him to have the Patriot Guard there. Maybe as a nineteen year he cannot express to you how much it means to him, but as a mother I want you to know just how much it meant. For the Patriot Guard to take the time out of their day to see the 353rd off means so much to me and to my husband, who is retired from the Army.

Our thanks go out to you and the Patriot Guard. You will see my husband and I around at other Patriot Guard events. Maybe we can help give to another family what you gave to us.
