Jesse Albrecht

I would like to thank you for making Jesse's funeral a very special moment of honor and pride. Jesse Albrecht is my stepson and would have been so honored by your presents at his funeral. I can not begin to tell you the emotion of seeing a sea of stars and stripes approaching the church. As I walked out and around to take in the faces holding the flags, emotion over came me and I was comforted by one of the women of your group. The kindness of a stranger there to honor my fallen soldier was a warm moment I will never forget. There was a mother with her two young girls holding flags across the street. A member of the Guard crossed the street and said to the mother, "we would be honored to have you join us". After she hugged me she too joined the line of flags. Another precious warm memory of a horribly difficult day. As the funeral continued I could see the reflection of the ever present flags waving out the door even in the pouring rain. Jesse's father, our family, and I will never forget the protective, beautiful addition of the Patriot Guard, nor will we ever look at the flag the same way again.

With Incredible Gratitude,

Denise
