We would like to extend our most heartfelt"Thank You" to the Minnesota Patriot Guard. We had not heard of your organization until a neighbor and a member told us about your organization. You truly exemplify Patriotism and your continued support of our military is tremendous.
When we asked if you would like to join us in welcoming home our son-in-law – as he is coming home from his duty as a US Marine after serving 9 years, you were excited about it. After further conversations to plan the homecoming, we discovered that a lot of your "missions" are for funerals of fallen soldiers. A celebration Homecoming was a welcomed Mission.
There were about 25 friends and family waiting the arrival of SGT Neve's plane on Friday. With the delayed flight due to the "Duluth fog" we had a chance to visit with the PG members and learn more about the organization. Finally the plane had landed. As I watched my father, a veteran, eyes fill with tears as he watched the Patriot Guard line up proudly with their US Flags in hand to welcome home his grandson, SGT Terran Neve, my heart was filled with gratitude and thanks. Our prayers were answered - Terran was home safely. It is because of SGT Neve and all who serve in our military we learn the lessons of courage, commitment, honor and respect they have for our freedom. United we Stand - Under 50 stars and 13 stripes, a diverse nation bands together. Rising from humble beginnings, our flag provides hope to all in times of trouble or triumph.
The Patriot Guard are true American patriots and we salute you. Thank you for your respect and support for our troops and our country.
Respectfully,
Rita M. Urevig
